Who we are
Fisho (fisho.nz) is a New Zealand fishing platform providing gear, conditions, clubs, charters and packages for NZ anglers. References to "we", "us" or "our" mean Fisho.
What information we collect
- Account information — your email address and, if you sign in via Google or Facebook, your name and profile picture as provided by those services.
- Fishing activity — catch records, competition entries and club memberships you create on the platform.
- Purchase information — order history and shipping addresses when you buy gear through our shop. Payment details are processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
- Usage data — pages visited, links clicked and general browsing activity on fisho.nz, used to improve the platform.
- Communications — emails you send us and newsletter subscriptions.
How we use your information

- To process orders and send order confirmations
- To send newsletters and fishing updates you have opted in to
- To display competition leaderboards and club membership information
- To improve and develop the platform

Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Google / Facebook — optional sign-in. Their privacy policies apply when you use these login methods.
- Stripe — payment processing. Card details go directly to Stripe and are not stored by us.
- NIWA / LINZ — tide and conditions data. No personal data is shared.
Data storage
Your data is stored on servers located in New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to access and correct personal information we hold about you. You may also request deletion of your account and associated data — see our Data Deletion page for instructions.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly.
