Snap Fishing Ventures - Lure Fishing with Capt Nik Key
For the past 12 years, Capt Nik Key has worked as a professional fishing guide and skipper across the Hauraki Gulf and Northland, specialising in lure-only fishing. Nik has written numerous "How To" feature articles for NZ Fishing News, sharing his approach to finding fish and catching them on hard and soft-bait lures.
Nik is also a dedicated tackle tester, working closely with business partners Monster Fishing to find out what actually performs out on the water.
Snap Fishing Ventures is built around giving clients a great day out while learning genuine lure fishing technique - skills Nik has refined over more than 25 years on the water. That includes knowing how to find bait and fish through the different seasons, then how to put a lure in front of them. No smelly bait required.
